Suspect #2

Frank F. Jones / William Mansfield

Villisca resident and Iowa state senator, Frank Jones, had a thriving business called the Jones Store. Mr. Moore worked for Frank at the Jones store for several years and was one of Frank's best employees. Josiah Moore ends up quitting to start his own business. He was selling the exact same stuff as the Jones store just a few blocks down. Rumor has it that Frank was livid and that he felt the ultimate betrayal.

A lot of people were talking, and they had said that if Frank didn't do it himself, he had a lot of money, he could have easily payed somebody to commit these awful murders.

People think that he paid a man named William Mansfield- who was a cocaine loving serial killer.

All of the murders committed by Mansfield were done in the same manner. In his killings, the victims were axed and the mirrors were covered with clothing or sheets. However, he would tend to wear gloves, so there's no need to wipe the axe.

A restaurant owner said that they saw Mansfield the morning after the murder boarding a nearby train near the Moore's.

There was not enough solid evidence to convict.
